I have had a variety of paid occupations since graduation. I've been a waitress, motel maid, encyclopedia salesperson (which included doing magic tricks) phone researcher, substitute teacher, teacher's aide, toy company manager and salesperson, university adjunct instructor, leadership seminar leader, and my favorite was English as a second language public school teacher, middle and high school.

My unpaid occupations include raising 3 children, including one with cerebral palsy, and serving as general coordinator for the construction of a Robert Leathers playground in my community. (2 years of work, thousands of volunteers)

I have lived in 7 states and traveled to many countries, some as a tourist and some for work. I have given educational presentations in Turkey, Brazil and Morocco.

I've had an extremely interesting and rewarding life so far and don't plan on stopping until I am forced to.

School Story

I loved school, which is probably why I always wanted to be a teacher. I was not a serious student and was actually sheepish about doing too well on tests. (Didn't want to get teased by friends. It wasn't ccol to be seen as smart. Sad.) I was all about the social life and boys! I was a class officer, a representative for student council, member of several school clubs, and a member of a social sorority, which was a thing back then. (Delta Sigma Phi). I was also our senior class prom queen and my boyfriend, Bobby Williams (RIP), was the prom king. My parents thought I was kidding when I told them.

Happy Birthday. Did you know the Class of 1970s 50 year reunion was postponed because of COVID-19. We are having it next June at the Studebaker museum and we are welcoming any of our classmates who had to transfer to LaSalle. If you would like more information, please let me know.
