Helen Legora (Platz) Pierson

Helen Legora Pierson, 45, of New Brunswick, N.J., and formerly of South Bend. died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. She was visiting her sister, Mrs. Catherine Gilchrist, 1238 Lincoln Way West. She was a former Studebaker employee. She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in South Bend, and lived here until 1956, when she moved to New Brunswick.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Borrero and Mrs. Sharon Nationally, both of New Brunswick; three grand-children; and two sisters, Mrs. Gilchrist and Mrs. Donnabelle Piechocki of Chicago.

Arrangements are being handled by the Welsheimer Funeral Home.
