Emily Joan Weyrick, 83 passed away Friday September 2, 2005 at Millet Merry Manor in Plymouth where she had been lovingly cared for since early 2004 in The Terrace, an Alzheimer unit. Emily was born June 2 1922 In South Bend, Indiana to the late George E. ant Beulah (Martindale) Lamar. A 1940 graduate of South Bent Central High School, she attended Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin. She was very active in the Firs Christian Church (So. Bend; youth group, and was a U.S.O hostess at the Palais Royale Ballroom In South Bend during 1943-1944. Emily marrlec her lifelong sweetheart Robed B. Weyrick, Sr., on Mal 11. 1944 in Gulfport Mississippi. 

A devoted mother and homemaker, Emily worked as a secretary in South Bend, and as a nurse's aide in Plymouth, Bloomington and Auburn, IN hospitals The Weyrick family lived in several Indiana communities over the years, as well as in California and North Carolina. Emily was a member of the Argos UN Church. Emily Is survived by her children: Two daughters Susan (Jeff) Kellams Indianapolis and Jill Beam Plymouth. Four sons, Robert Jr. (Jeannie), Albemarle, NC Lyn (Dona), Versailles, KY Jack of Garrett, IN; and David (Linda), Garrett, IN. One brother, Rich (Ruth) Lamar of MI & FL, and a sister, Nancy Nordquist, Seattle,WA survive. Other cherished survivors are Emily's 16 grand. children and 4 great-grand. children. 

Emily was preceded In death by her husband, Bob, in 1986 her brother, First Lieutenant Victor J. Lamar, killed in action in France in February 1945 and an infant brother, Joseph. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth on Sun., Sept. 25 2005 at 4:00 p.m., with Rev Bill Kesler and Rev. Robin Smith officiating. Friend: may call at the church from to 4 p.m. Interment will be a Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to "Volunteers in Mission #879" to help fund a medical trip to Guatemala OR, "UMCOR—Hurricane Katrina Relief".
