Carol Eileen (Hoover) Francis

MISHAWAKA - Carol E. Francis, 86, of Mishawaka, IN, (formerly of Wilber Street, South Bend) passed away at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1923 to the late Ralph O. and Inez (Hecht) Hoover in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents, two sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death. Mrs. Francis worked for 11 years at the Bendix Corporation.

On November 2, 1955, she married Gail Austin Francis at the United Methodist Church, Lafayette, IN. He died on December 14, 2000.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Judy) Francis of Mishawaka, IN; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Francis of Mishawaka, IN; three sisters, Betty McEntire of Texas, Esther Haack of St. Joseph, MI, and JoAnn Hoover of South Bend, IN.
