Josephine Ann (Grabarek) Busse

Josephine Ann Busse 64, of 16585 Yorktown Road, died at 2:12 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. She retired as a department manager for Goldblatts in 1981, following 20 years of service. She was born on Nov. 26, 1822, in South Bend and lived in the area all of her life.

On Sept. 26, 1942, in South Bend, she marred John P. Busse, who survives. Also surviving are two sons. James P. of Boulder, Colo., and Charles F. of Bloomington, Ind.; three grandchildren; three sisters, Valentine Otolski, Pearl Gall and Marie Freeburn, all of South Bend; and a brother, George A. Grabarek of Grand Rapids, Mich.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Welsheimer North Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. She was a member of St. Pius X, Women's Society, Circle of Mercy and the senior citizens group, all of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
