SOUTH BEND — Services for Joseph F. Buzolitz, 72, of Meridian Nursing Center River Park. formerly of 26th Street, who died at 6 am. Wednesday in the nursing home, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, where a scriptural service will be at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

Mr. Buzolitz retired in 1990 from Heat-Treat Inc. after 38 years of service as superintendent of quality control.

He was born Oct. 12, 1922, in South Bend. On April 17, 1948, in South Bend, he married Shirley M. Carter. She survives with a daughter, Carol A. Santee of Cary, IL.; and a brother, Michael of Hobart, IN.

He was a member of Holy Name Society of the church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 50 and Padre Pio Prayer Group of Corpus , Christi Catholic Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
