SOUTH BEND — Robert L. Baker, 68, of Essex Drive, died of natural causes about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Baker retired in 1967 as sales manager for Perficold after 40 years of service. He was born June 28, 1922, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident

On Nov. 29, 1947, in South Bend, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Mackey. She survives, along with two daughters, Rebecca Ann Limning of Osceola and Nancy Anne Swanson of Longview, Wash.; a son, Robert D. of North Liberty; four grandchildren; a sister, Frances Ward of South Bend; and two brothers, Donald E. of South Bend and George W. of Weston, CT.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post 303 and the University Club of Notre Dame.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Burial will be at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. to-day in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
