ROCKLEDGE, FL - James Nagy, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Rockledge, FL, at the age of 97. He was born on September 7, 1915, in Aurora, IL, to Joseph and Rosalia Nagy, who preceded him in death.

On November 22, 1947, he married Alice Rymer, who preceded him in death in July 1994. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Nagy of Budapest, Hungary, Joseph Nagy and Alex Nagy; and a sister, Julia Farkas of South Bend, IN.

Jim is survived by his second wife, Jackie, and four stepdaughters, Arieann Corning of Coco, FL, Aleasha Jones of California, Kelly Stublefield and Kayla Stublefield of Rockledge, FL. He is also survived by four nephews, Joseph Nagy, Albert Nagy and Richard Farkas of South Bend, and Jim Nagy of Atlanta, GA; two nieces, Rosalie Bitter of Texas and Beverly Weist of South Bend.

He attended Perley School and Central High School.

He retired from the former Bendix Corp. in 1975. Jim was a WW II veteran and as a member of the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment saw combat in the Pacific in New Guinea, the Philippines and Corregidor. He was a kind and helping person and will be missed by all. There will be no visitation. Jim's wish was to be cremated.
