Charles (Harry) Beyrer, 85, of Lake Wales, Fla., a former South Bend resident, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in Wales Hospital, Lake Wales, after an extended illness. Mr. Beyrer was a former executive with the former Hardy Printing Co. and the Brown-Bigelow Co., St. Paul, Minn., retiring in 1958. Born on April 17, 1888, in Wabash, Ind., he had lived here until moving to St. Paul in 1937, then to Lake Wales in 1958.

On June 6, 1916, in South Bend, he married Marie Brickell, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mary K. of Columbus, Ohio, and, two sisters, Edith Beyrer and Mrs. Archie Gemberling, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Marion Nelson Mortuary, Lake Wales. Rev. Joseph Smith, pastor of the Lake Wales First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Mr. Beyrer was a member of the Lakes Wales Methodist Church and had been a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, South Bend.. Memorial contributions may be made to the local Heart Fund
