Betty J. (Olmstead) Sante

SOUTH BEND — Betty J. Sante, 75, of Maple Lane, died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Cen-ter. Mrs. Sante was the owner of the former Sante's Restaurant. She was born May 30, 1920, in South Bend. On May 19, 1940, in South Bend, as Betty Olmstead, she married Fred M. Sante. He died Oct. 7, 1967.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Wiles of Osceola; two sons, Martin A. of South Bend and Robert W. of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and two brothers, David Olmstead and Paul Olmstead, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Jo-seph County Inc.
