Dr. Robert J. Quimby

SOUTH BEND -- Dr. Robert Joseph Quimby, 77, of Citrus Springs, Fla., formerly of
South Bend, died March 2, 1997, in his home. Dr. Quimby was an educational
administrator and had been employed by the South Bend Community School Corp. for
24 years before moving to Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Citrus Springs; a daughter, JoEllen
Hayes-Quimby of Citrus Springs; a son, William C. of Salt Lake City, Utah; his
mother, Mary Ellen Quimby-Hayes of Edwardsburg; four sisters, Lillian L. Katona
of Dade City, Fla., Mary L. Whiting of South Bend, Ruth A. Rumsey of California
and Patricia A. Reader of Indianapolis; and three brothers, Lester E. of South
Bend, Ralph Jr. of Mishawaka and John D. of Dade City. A brother, Charles R.,
died April 18.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens
Mausoleum, Osceola, Ind.
