SOUTH BEND Casimer L. Hartwick, 76, of North Wellington Street, South Bend, died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Healthwin Nursing Home. Mr. Hartwick was born March 1, 1920 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

He was married Jan. 10, 1948, in South Bend, to Maxine E. Standfield, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Christine Colson and Kathleen Brooks, both of South Bend, a son Bruce, of Dodge City, Kan., four grandchildren and two sisters; Sylvia Nies and Mary Ann Albert, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday and two hours prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Mr. Hartwick was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, American Legion Post 50, and the Breezers Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County.
