Frederick W. Guendling, 84, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Ark. He was born June 16, 1919, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Frederick W. Guendling Sr. and Georgia Bailey Guendling. He was retired foreman for Uniroyal Corporation, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki S. Cook in 1987; and by his first wife, Shirley Elizabeth Guendling in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Sellers Guendling; a son, Randall L. Guendling of Fayetteville; and by a granddaughter, Shelly Lough of Dallas, Texas.

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in South Bend. Arrangements were by Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville.
