Alice Katherine (Pence) Nagy

Alice K. Nagy, 53, of 501 E. Fairview Ave., died at 9:20 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of one week. A registered nurse, she was employed as a supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. Born Nov. 24, 1919 in Grant County, Ind., Mrs. Nagy had lived in South Bend since 1934.

On March 8, 1947, in South Bend, she was married 10. Alex Nagy, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James R., with the U.S. Air Force, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska; a daughter, Miss Rosalie A. Nagy of Mishawaka; a grandson; and three brothers, John Pence of South Bend, and Ernest and Robert Pence, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Services were to be today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., with Rev. C. Franklin' Bruce, D.D., pastor of the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Mrs. Nagy graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, South Bend, in 1943. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund
