Theodore S. Martynowicz

Theodore S. Martynowicz, 62, of 2120 Bergan, died at 4 a.m. Saturday in the American International Hospital, Zion, Ill. He was employed by the Bendix Corp. for 39 years, retiring on July 1. He was born on June 12, 1917, in Chicago, and lived in South Bend for 55 years. In July, 1942, he married Sophia Chwalek, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Bujeker of South Bend, Mrs. Kay Frances James of Granger and Miss Janice Martynowicz, at home; a son, Terry of Bristol; a granddaughter; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Rodicki, Mrs. Geraldine Sobecki and Miss Irene Martynowicz, all of South Bend, and a brother, Leonard J. of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob A. Smith, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Friends may 611 from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, 3402 Lincoln Way W. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of P.N.A. 1437 and the Moose Lodge 58. The parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
