Walter C. Erler

Walter C. Erler Jr., 62, of 1323 E. Ewing, died at 5:05 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a month's illness. Erler was certified public accountant. Born on Sept. 18, 1911, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime.

On Sept. 9, 1939, in South Bend, he married Mary Jane Kuntz, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia O'Hanlon of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth (Carl) Matthes of South Bend and Mrs. Jane (John) Warner of Richland, Wash.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel. Rev. J. Philip Klinger, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. 

Erler was a member of Grace Church; Portage Lodge 675, F&AM; the Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend; Elks Lodge 235, and the Indiana Society of Public Accountants.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund. Graveside services will be conducted by members of the Elks Lodge
