Fayne Marie (Miller) Johnson

SOUTH BEND — Fayne Miller Johnson, 81, of North Huey Street, died at 1:27 a.m. Saturday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Johnson was a professional restaurant manager. She was born May 12, 1910, in Leesburg, Ind.

On Feb. 27, 1928. in South Bend, she married Rollen W. Waterson. He died earlier. On April 1, 1961, in Warsaw, she married Albert E. Johnson. He survives with two daughters, Jill Ellen Steiffler of Silver Lake and Jacqueline Hoblik of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Joan Monroe, died March 17, 1990.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Michiana Area Ceramic Association and the Portage Homemakers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mon-day in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
