BUCHANAN - Aloysius R. Guentert, 69, of 3206 Niles-Buchanan Road, died Monday in' Pawating Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1910, in Appleton, Wis. He moved to this area in 1962 from Niles.

On June 27, 1935, in South Bend, he married Rosella N. Eble, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Adelaide Marie Lovell of Granger and Mrs. Marilyn Smith of Groton, Mass.; a son, John A. of Pentwater; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Remmo, Mrs. Cecelia Lowman, Mrs Rosemary Ziolkowski, all of South Bend, Mrs. Helen Eastwood of Plymouth and Mrs. Genevieve Tiede of Indianapolis; five brothers, Eugene, Roman and Joseph Jr., all of South Bend, Francis of Oregon, Ill., and Englebert of Calif.

He was a retired employe of the Bendix Corp. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 708 of Niles in which he was past Grand Knight.

Services will be at 12 noon EST Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Buchanan. Rev. Donald W. Atchison, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Halbritter Funeral Home where rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at the church after 10 a.m.
