SOUTH BEND - Naomi I. Rensberger, 97, of South Bend, IN, died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She was born on May 8, 1912, in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Wenrick, three sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Rensberger worked at A&P Grocery Store, IGA Grocery Store, and Robertson's Department Store.

She graduated from South Bend Central High School on June 17, 1930.

On October 3, 1931, as Naomi I. Wenrick, she married Ernest R. Rensberger in South Bend, IN. He died on August 12, 1993.

She is survived by her two sons, Roger A. Rensberger of Granger, IN, and William A. Rensberger of South Bend, IN, several nieces and nephews.

Naomi was a member of First United Methodist Church in South Bend, IN. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the organ and piano, and loved to travel. Cremation will take place.

Gravesite services will be held at a later date at Highland Cemetery in South Bend, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, is handling arrangements.
