Private Studebaker was killed April 20, 1945 in Germany, his parents. Mr. and Mrs. William K. Studebaker, 502 East Indiana avenue, have been notified.

Private Studebaker had served overseas with the motor section of the tank division since May, 1943. He served in North Africa, France and Germany.

A graduate of Central High school, he attended Manchester college. North Manchester. Ind.

He was employed by the athletic department of the automotive division of the Studebaker corporation before entering the service in March. 1942.

He was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving besides his parents is a sister, Mrs. Arnold P. Strieker, at home.

He is buried in St. Avold Cemetery in France, a casualty of World War II, memorial 56661331. Richard served in WWII US Army 645th Tank Destroyer Battalion - Private First Class.
