Everett A. Lonergan

Everett A. Lonergan, 75, of 605.E. Napoleon St., died at 8:10 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. He worked for Studebaker Corp. for more than :25 years and had retired from the University of Notre Dame after 15 years, having worked in administration. Born Jan. 4, 1912, in South Bend, he lived here his lifetime.

On April 25, 1937, in South Bend, the married Dorothy A. Brunson, who died Aug. 2, 1986. Surviving are two sons, Clark E. of South Bend and Daniel of Edwardsburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Swindeman of South Bend.

Two grandchildren, Erika and Recle, preceded him in death.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., where a parish rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.

Mr. Lonergan was a graduate of the former Central High School and a member of the Notre Dame Golf Club.
