MISHAWAKA — John F. "Jack" Gaylor, 84, of 3780 N. Collins Drive, Bloomington, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday in Bloomington Convalescent Center. He retired in 1997 from Indiana Bell Telephone Co., after 40 years. He was born March 12, 1907, in Mishawaka.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alberta Braman; two daughters, Barbara Gaylor of Ellettsville, Ind., and Janet Algood of Bloomington; three grandchildren; five great-grandsons; two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert of Ocala, Fla.
He was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of Indiana and was active in Talking Book Machine Project sponsored by Indiana Bell Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Greene and Harrell Mortuary, Bloomington. Entombment was in Valhalla Mausoleum, Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer Research or to the Diabetes Association.
