Kathryne (Singler) Flatley

SOUTH BEND — Kathryne Flatley, 83, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of South Sunnyside Avenue, died at 3 a.m. Friday in Mercy Hospital. Owensboro. She was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Dunkirk, Ind., and she had lived in Owensboro since February. moving from South Bend.

On Aug. 17, 1936, in South Bend, as Kathryne Singler, she married Lee T. Flatley. He died June 5, 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Lynne Brendel of Owensboro; a son, T.K. of New York City; and three grandchildren. A grandson, Jeremy Brendel, died in 1975.

She was a member of Morris Park Country Club and St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, and was a graduate of Saint Mary's College.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Child Society.
