Helen C. (Korpal) Mackowski

Helen C. Mackowski May 7, 1907 - May 29, 1997 Helen C. Mackowski, 90, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, in the Pleasant View Lodge Nursing Facility, Greenfield, Ind.

Mrs. Mackowski was born on May 7, 1907, in South Bend. On Aug. 6, 1931, in South Bend, as Helen C. Korpal, she married Stanley L. Mackowski, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1970. Mrs. Mackowski is survived by her two daughters, Leone Morris of Indianapolis and Rita (Major) Rother of Northfield, Minn., eight grandchildren; six great-grand-children; and by a brother, Sylvester Korpal of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. 

Friends may call from 2 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Mrs. Mackowski was a member of Holy Cross Church, Holy Cross Church Rosary Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the St. Joseph Society.
