Elmer L. Findley

SOUTH BEND - Elmer L. Findley, 82, of 119 Weber St., died at noon Saturday in his home. He owned and operated the Findley Guarantee Super Service for 32 years. He retired from Pete Fall Ford Elkhart. He was born May 29, 1908, Lima, Ohio. in lived in the area for most life.

On Feb 4, 1934, he married Dorothy A. Hartz. She survives, with three daughters, Joan Hutchison of Granger, and Connie Findley and Dianna Oxley, both of South Bend; a son, Don E. of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Loyal Order Moose Lodge 58, Teamster 9 and AARP, and was a past officer of the Traveling 50 Club.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. Burial be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
