Mary Ann (Olah) Ward

Mary Ann Ward, 85, formerly of Luelde Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, March 13, in St.Paul’s Health Care Center, South Bend. She was born on April 14, 1918, in South Bend, to Michael and Izolda Olah.On July 31, 1948, in South Bend, she married Leroy E. Ward, who survives. Along with her husband of 55 years, a son, James Ward of Michigan City, Ind., survives.

A sister, Margaret Bilinski, and a brother, Frank Olah, preceded her in death.

Mrs.Ward retired from Simplicity Pattern in Niles, Mich. She was a member of St.Patrick Catholic Church, and loved to go to the Silverhawks baseball games.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 17, in the Reid Thompson Memorial Chapel at St. Paul’s Retirement Community, 3602 S.Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.Rev.Michael Glockner, CSC, will officiate.Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Contributions in memory of Mary Ann Ward may be made to St. Paul’s Retirement Community, 3602 S.Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46614. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
