Louis R. Gyorgyi

April 8, 1917 - April 9, 1997

Louis Richard "Louie" Gyorgyi of South Bend, Ind., and Fort Myers Beach, Fla., passed away, after reaching his 80th birthday, at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in his winter home.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Louella, to whom he was married on October 23, 1937. He is also survived by his daughter and sonin-law, Sharon and Dick Hendrickson; grandchildren, Rick Hendrickson of West Lafayette, Ind., Doug Hendrickson of Fort Myers Beach, Jon Hendrickson of South Bend, Robert and Amy Hendrickson of Fort Myers, and Joe Hendrickson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; brothers and sisters, Elizabeth and Melvin Williams of Osceola, Ind., Joseph and Marjorie Gyorgyi of Peoria, Ariz., John and Doris Gyorgyi of South Bend and Bonita Springs, Fla., and Bob and Rosemary Brannan of Brooksville, Fla.; and by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gyorgyi was a longtime restdent and businessman in River Park. He retired as owner of the George 'E' Insurance Agency. Cremation has taken place. He will be buried in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park after the earth has warmed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Rescue Mission, 532 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46634.
