Alfrieda J. (Langel) Williams

SOUTH BEND — Alfrieda J. Williams, 75, of Mayflower Road, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Williams was a former elementary school teacher. She was born Oct. 19, 1917, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On May 20, 1939, in South Bend, as Alfrieda Lange!, she married Richard Williams. He survives with two daughters, Carol Wallace and Katy A. Orem, both of South Bend; four grandchildren; and a sister, Viola McGrane of South Bend.

She was a graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, Ind., and was a member of St. Joseph's Medical Center Auxiliary.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Weisheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
