Opal Arliene (Good) Barber

Opal Artiene Barber, 58, of 20925 Dunn Road, died at 10:15 a a.m. Tuesday in her home of natural causes. She was employed with the South Bend Community School Corp. for 20 years, working at LaSalle High School  Born April 22, 1926, in South Bend, she was a lifetime area restdent

On June 16, 1945, in South Bend, Opal Artiene Good, she married Kenneth Barber, who died Dec. 16, 1982.

Mrs. Barber to survived by two daughters, Kathleen Rice of Indianapolis and Patricia Barber of South Bend, a son, Craig of South Bend, a brother, Wellington Good of New Carlisle; and her mother, Audrey Good of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a m Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Cremation will be at Michlana Crematory and interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Barber was a member of Cathedral of St. James Episcopal and the South Bend Secretaries Association.
