Mary Louise (Cressy) Miller, 82, passed away in her home on Woodcliff Drive in South Bend, Ind., at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. She was born in the North St. Peter's Street home of her parents, Sidney and Marie Cressy, on May 28, 1915.

On April 10, 1937, she married Clement M. Miller. in St. Joseph's Church in South Bend.

Her marriage, as her life, was centered on her deep faith and love of the Lord and on her family. Mr. and Mrs. Miller have 11 children, 42 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, who has been a longtime partner in the firm of Cressy and Everett.

She is also survived by sons and daughters, Michael D. Miller, Beverly A. Bradley, Brian L. Miller, Mary Beth Dominello, Wayne E. Miller and Victoria L. Trimberger, all of whom reside in the South Bend area. Non-local surviving children are Hubert J. Miller of Devon, Pa., Joyce E. Fuchs of Laurenberg, N.C., Virginia M. Gionfriddo of Vienna, Va., Gregory J. Miller of Gilbert, Ariz., and Alicia J. Cassell of Springfield, Va.; her sister, Mildred Hill of Mishawaka; and by a brother, Clifford Cressy of Denver, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and George Cressy; and by a sister, Evelyn Firth. Besides enjoying her large family, she had many interests in life:  knitting, reading, portrait painting, playing the piano and travelling, to name a few things. She and her husband visited 49 of the 50 states in their many travels. She and her husband both graduated from Central High School in South Bend, and have been active members of both Sacred Heart Parish and the People of Praise Community in South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hickey Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Management Services or to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc
