Lloyd William Wermuth

SOUTH BEND — Lifelong South Bend resident Lloyd William Wermuth, age 82, passed away October 19, 2011, at his home. He was the son of the late William and Margaret Wermuth, and brother of the late Lee Brubaker, Bernice Hoppe and Georgiana Oppenheim, all of South Bend.
He was husband to the late Monteil Craddock Wermuth, and father of the recently departed Margaret Wermuth Johnston. He is survived by his stepson, Wesley Speake of South Bend, and stepdaughter, Eunice Glosson of Virginia. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, Stephen Speake, David Nelund, Michele Leichter and Sarah Glosson.
He graduated from South Bend Central and was a veteran of the U.S.air Force. He retired from the South Bend Waterworks, where he served as superintendent. Many local residents will fondly remember him as the former bartender for Pearls Bar and Grille. Your life was a blessing
