William Earl Nave

William Earl Nave, 53, of 2141 Riverside Drive, was found dead in his home around 4 p.m. Tuesday. He reportedly hung himself with a clothesline that was hung from a clothes hook connected to the basement ceiling. The death was ruled a suicide by Dr. James McMeel, deputy coroner.

Nave was a draftsman, retiring in 1982 from the Bendix Corp. after 32 years there. He was born Nov. 14, 1928, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident. He is survived by four sisters, Miss Katheryn Nave, with whom he resided, Mrs. Margaret Hersom, Mrs. Mary Krueger and Mrs. Hildegarde Hite, all of South Bend; and a brother, Guy S. of Arlington Heights, Ill.

The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St, is making arrangements. He was a member of St. Lutheran Church and he was a Korean War Army veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to a charity of donor's choice
