RUSSELL W. LINDHOLM

Russell W. Lindholm of Palatine since 1983 Memorial services Russell W. Lindholm, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the First United Methodist Church, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine. Born March 22, 1929, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Grainger, Ind. While growing up in Indiana, Russell was an Eagle Scout and a camp counselor at Camp Bryan.

He graduated from Central High School in South Bend, Ind. and he continued on in his education, graduating with a business degree from Indiana University in Bloomington.

In addition, Russell was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War in the counter intelligence corps. He was employed by Travelers Insurance Group of South Bend, prior to moving to the Chicago area in 1963 and eventually he took a position with Marsh & McLennan of Chicago. He worked for more than twenty-five years at Marsh & McLennan, before retiring as an assistant vice-president in 1997. Some of Russell's hobbies were an avid lifelong love of sailing; especially on Lake Michigan, antique cars and photography.

He is survived by his wife, Louise I. Lindholm; daughter, Linda L. (Douglas C.) White; and granddaughter, Stephanie L. White.
