Nadine V. (Dreibelbis) Akemon

Nadine V. Akemon March 29, 1929 - July 23, 1996 Private services will be held for Nadine V. Akemon of Helmen Road, South Bend, who died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital. Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 North William St., is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Akemon was born March 29, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. She retired in 1986 from Bendix Corp. after 31 1/2 years of service. 

On Feb. 10, 1968, in South Bend, as Nadine V. Dreibelbis, she married Troy Akemon, who survives along with two daughters, Debbie Haynes of Elkhart and Karen Akemon at home; two grandchildren, Abrey and Austin Haynes, both of Elkhart; her mother, Blanche Dreibelbis of South Bend, and three sisters, Lorrain Summersgale of South Bend, Ann Deranek of Granger, and Virginia Eaton of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Her father, Lee Dreibelbis, preceded her in death in 1972.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Ct South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
