Ruth G. (Snyder) Erhardt

Ruth G. Erhardt, 86, residing in San Antonio. Texas, formerly of South Bend, Ind.. passed away at 2:37 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, in her residence in San Antonio. She was born on Dec. 22, 1913, in South Bend, as the daughter of Norman and Rose Snyder, and had lived in South Bend most of her life until moving to San Antonio three years ago to be near her daughter and family.

On Sept. 18, 1937, in South Bend, she was married to Carl R. Erhardt, who passed away in 1976. She is survived by her devoted family, a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tom Keay of San Antonio; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Sandy Erhardt of Brown County, Ind.; a grand-daughter and husband, Kimberly and Craig Kempf, a granddaughter, Nancy Keay, all of San Antonio; a grandson, Shane Erhardt of Brown County; and by two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Camille Ruth Kempf of San Antonio.

Mrs. Erhardt was a longtime member of Zion United Church of Christ, South Bend.

Private services for Mrs. Erhardt will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, in San Antonio. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend. Local arrangements are being made by the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Erhardt may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne Street, South Bend, IN 46617; or to the Saint Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 North Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
