K. LaVon (Morehouse) Brown

K. LaVon Brown, 86, of Normandy Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, in her residence. K. LaVon was born on Feb. 18, 1914, in South Bend, Ind., to Otto L. and Louella (Brooks) Morehouse, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Morehouse; and by a sister, Madeline Parker.

She retired in 1975 from Singer as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Osceola #598, and a volunteer for the Bolger Heritage Group. On July 19, 1947, in South Bend, as K. LaVon Morehouse, she married Harold H. Brown, who survives along with one daughter, Marsha Brown of South Bend.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until service time.
