Margaret "Peg" (Landick) Elmore

SOUTH BEND — Margaret "Peg" Elmore, 77, of Arrowhead Circle, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in Edwards Hospital, Naperville, III Mrs. Elmore was a former employee of the Wayne Hardware Store.

She was born May 22, 1914, in South Bend and was a life-long area resident. On May 26, 1934, m South Bend, as Margaret Landick, she married William J. Elmore. He died in 1984. She is survived by three sons, William J. Jr of Naperville, David R. of Westchester, Pa., and Michael W. of Coeur D'alene, Idaho; six grandchildren; a sister, Jane Wamsley of South Bend; and a brother, Robert Landick of Indianapolis.

She was a charter member of Clay Town-ship Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, a volunteer for the American Red Cross, a member of Knights of Pythias Sisterhood, and a former member of Community Congregational Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 8 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Cancer Society.
