Funeral services will be conducted for Edgar J. Heffner in the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial is to be made in Greenlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home any time and are invited to attend the rites. Death came to Mr. Heffner at 12:15 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Monday evening. He was ill only four days. The son of the late Edward M. and Mary Null Heffner, Mr. Heffner was born at South Bend on Aug. 12, 1913. He resided in South Bend until 1946, when he moved to Indianapolis, and in 1954 he and his family became residents of Prince's Lake. 

On March 16, 1948, Mr. Heffner and Mildred Risley were married at Huntington. Was Union Official He had been officiated with the Bendix and Studebaker Corporation at South Bend and has been business manager of the Teamsters Local Union No. 135, A.F. of L. for 15 years. Mr. Heffner was a member a the Englewood Lodge No. 715, F. & A. M., and the Moose Lodge of Indianapolis.

He was graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1932. He had been president of the Young Republican Club of South Bend. Surviving with the widow are two children by a previous marriage. They are the son, Terry Heffner, who lives at home; and a daughter, Miss Karen Heffner, of South Bend.

Also remaining are three sisters, Miss Dorothy Heffner, of Chicago, Tll., Mrs. Bessie Warren, of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Marie Churchill, of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada; and a brother, Herschel Heffner, of Wawaka.
