Louis M. Hadrick

Louis M. Hadrick, 64, of 1941 Prairformer city policeman, died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Community Hospital, Paw Paw, Mich. Hadrick suffered a heart attack 10 days ago while at his cottage on Gravel Lake. He was a member of the South Bend Police Department from 1942-63, retiring as captain of the day shift.
After retirement, he was employed by the National Bank as a security officer, by the Municipal Garage and as a foreman for the South Bend Street Department. He also was employed in several other local government offices. Hadrick's most recent employment was with the South Bend Water Works.
He was born on July 8, 1914, in South Bend where he resided all his life.
On July 27, 1940, in South Bend, he married Doris Anderson, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Thomas of Kansas City, Mo., Robert of Berlin, N.J., and Rick, at home; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clara Smith of South Bend and : a brother, John of Ocala, Fla.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church with Msgr. John Sabo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jo seph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Zahoran Funeral Home. Hadrick was president of the Hungarian Catholic Club and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police
