Elizabeth M. (Freeburn) Morgan

July 7, 1912 - Nov. 4, 1999

Elizabeth Freeburn Morgan, 87, died on Thursday, Nov. 4, peacefully, in her home in Lydick.

Survivors include daughters, Marijane Hudson, Marie Young, Margaret Lesher, and Charlene Morgan; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles; infant daughter, Betty Lou; and daughter, Elizabeth Thompson.

Born a city girl, she then moved to Warren Township in 1936. Beth started the 4-H Club and Girl Scouts programs in Lydick. She was a longtime member of Lydick United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid and Extension Club. Beth became a world traveler when she was in her 60's. She lived with her husband and daughter for a time in Thailand.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Lydick United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Lydick United Methodist Church, 26510 West Edison Road, South Bend, IN 46628; or to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court. South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
