Charles F. Fiedler Sr.

Charles F. Fiedler Sr., 65, of 1006 W. Borley, died at 5:07 Friday, Oct 28, 1977, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a long illness. He was born in South Bend on July 8, 1912, and had lived in this area all his life. He retired in 1973 from the Bendix Corp. after 42 years, five of which were spent at the aerospace division in Mishawaka.

He married Myrtle O. Matz in South Bend on Oct. 31, 1936. She died on Aug. 11, 1976. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Todd and Mrs. Nancy Batson, both of Mishawaka; two sons, Charles F. Jr. of Paducah, Ky., and Donald R. of South Bend; 14 grand-children and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Higgins and Mrs. Betty Talcott, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Dollgener, pastor of St. Andrew's Church will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel.

Fiedler was a member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ; the South Bend Fraternal Order of Eagles; South Bend Lodge 58, Loyal Order of the Moose; the Bendix Golf League and the Eagles Bowling
