Herbert Coe Driggs
Herbert Coe Driggs, 74, formerly of South Bend, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Dallas hospital after an illness. Mr. Driggs was born Dec. 9, 1911, in South Bend, and lived here most of his life. He had been employed at Edwards Iron Works and retired from Industrial Metal-Fab Inc.
On Aug. 31, 1935, in Bethlehem, Pa., he married Ethel Stein. She survives with a daughter, Patricia Ann Nimtz of Houston, Texas; a son, W.F. "Dick" of Cedar Hill, Texas; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Katherine Priddy of South Bend, Mary Carlson of Dolton, Ill., and Betty Dutour of East Hazelcrest, Ill.; and three brothers, Harry S. of South Bend, and Robert D. and Dick, both of New Port Richey, Fla.
Arrangements are being handled by Laurel Land Funeral Home, Cedar Hill, Texas. Cremation will take place with entombment in Dallas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
