Andrew C Traeger. 56. of 1355 E Monroe St . died at 3:27 p m. Friday in Memorial Hospital He was president of An-drew A Troeger Sheet Metal Co He was born Aug. 31. 1917 in South Bend. On Sept 22. 1943. in Alameda. Calif . he married Ellen Kocsis. who survives Also surviving are a son. John A. of South Bend: a daughter. Mrs. Sandra C. Kessler of LaPorte: two grand-children: a brother. Earl Sr. of South Bend. and seven sisters. Mrs. Iva Schafer of Orange. Tex.. Mrs Otto Damerau. Miss Florence Troeger, Miss Margaret Troeger. Mrs. Carl Trippel. Mrs. Charles Jackson. and Miss Gertrude Troeger. all of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to A p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. 521 N. William St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zion United Church of Christ. of which he was a member. with Rev. Donald 1. Kaufman. pastor. officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.

Mr. Troeger was a member of the South Bend Kiwanis Club. the American Legion. the Indiana Club. Morris Park Country Club. the I.O.O.F.. and was president of the Sheet Metal Contractors Assn. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana University South Bend Center for Medical Education.
