George D. Reed
STURGIS — George D. Reed, 65, of 21675 Jackson St., Klinger Lake, died Thursday night in Froh Community Home. He was born on May 5, 1918, in South Bend. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Jean) Wolfe of Hagerstown, Md.; and 15 nieces and nephews. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death. He was a Notre Dame University graduate, a World War II Army veteran, and a self-employed public accountant in Mishawaka until his retirement in April, 1983.
There will be no services. Cremation will take place. Interment will be in Fort Custer V.A. 106 National Cemetery, Battle Creek., at a later date. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in his home. Foglesong Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
