SOUTH BEND — Helen F. Beczkiewicz, 74, of 2612 Fernway, died at 5:52 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Beczkiewicz was born Oct. 31, 1916, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident On May 29, 1942, in South Bend, as Helen Guendling, she married Ralph D. Beczkiesvicz. He survives with a son, Greg P. of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Vahl of Niles and Mildred Guendling of South Bend; and a brother, Frederick Guendling of South Bend.

She was a member of Walnut Grove Women's Club and Zion United Church of Christ. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 6pm Sunday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., and one hour before services Monday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or any charity.
