Joseph J. Borowski

SOUTH BEND - Joseph J. Borowski, 71, of 706 S. Liberty St. died at 11:01 p.m. Thursday in his home. Mr. Borowski retired in 1982 from the Bendix Corp. He was born Dec. 19, 1917, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 13, 1946, in South Bend, he married Evelyn J. Mrozinski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Judy Phillips of Carmel, Ind. ; a son, Thomas J. of Mundelein, IL; two grandchildren; three sisters, Clementine Billisitz, Jean Chiszar and Alice Dabrowiak, all of South Bend; and a brother, Chester of South Bend.

He was a member of St. Joseph Young Mens Society. Services will be atJO a.m. Monday in St. Adalberts Catholic Church.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
