SOUTH BEND - Lillian Zukowski, 80, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in Hospice House. Lillian was born on July 2, 1927, in South Bend, to the late John and Rozilla (Stefanski) Zukowski. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William; sister-in-law, Linda Zukowski; and by a nephew, Jim Opaczewski.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Carol Bryant, Don Opaczewski, Greg Opaczewski, Sheila Przybysz, Kathy Kitkowski, Erik Zukowski, John Zukowski, Christina Zukowski and Sandy; two sisters, Lorraine Mady of South Bend and Leona of Denver, CO; and by her brother, Marion of South Bend.

Lillian retired from Monarch. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church, and volunteered at the Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral liturgy will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46628. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
