Martha B. (Snyder) Barkdull

Mrs. Martha B. Barkdull, 56, of 1343 E. Fox, died at 1:05 a.m. today, Fri., Jun 17, 1983, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was employed with the Tri County .News Office. She was born June 8, 1927, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident.

On Sept. 20, 1946, in South Bend, as Martha Snyder, she married Paul R. Barkdull, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Miss Nancy S. Barkdull of South Bend; a son Thomas C. Barkdull of Mishawaka; her stepmother, Mrs. Ida Durbin of South Bend; a brother, James W. Snyder of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two half-brothers, Richard and William Snyder, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel. She was a member of the American Legion Post 50 Ladies Auxiliary and Ridgedale Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
