Sophia Pauline (Lobaugh) Terrill

SOUTH BEND Sophia Pauline Terrill, age 85, of Lake Placid, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, FL. She was born on September 2, 1927, in South Bend, IN, the daughter of Fred and Sophia (Wolf) Lobaugh.
She was a retired computer technician who started her career with IBM when computers were just coming out, then when on to work for several other companies including National Standard. She moved to Lake Placid in 1984 from Marcellus, Ml. She was an avid reader who enjoyed painting, sewing, wood carving, was a master gardener, and was one of the original caladium cloggers. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid.
Surviving are her children, Kathy Rains, Kimberly Golden, Michael Steven Singleton and James Allen Singleton; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth "Wink" Singleton in 1984, and her second husband, Bus Terrill in 2008.
Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 8, 2013, in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus, with a light luncheon following at the Marcellus United Methodist Church, Marcellus
