Margaret Florence “Marge” Boal

PORT HURON Marge F. Boal, 59, died Saturday, April 18, 1987, in Mercy Hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Oak Park, Ill., and lived in Port Huron for 21 years.
Miss Boal graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of sicence and a master of science degree. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a master of arts degree. She was an English professor at St. Clair County Community College for 21 years. She was a former chairman of the college's English Department. She received the distinguished faculty award from the college in 1985. She was a member of the Friends of the Arts Board of Directors. She was active in the Society of St. Vincent dePaul and was instrumental in the founding of the Rice Bowl Depot, Port Huron.
She was a member of the Love Inc. and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret B. Boal, Port Huron; one brother, Walter J. Boal, South Bend, Ind.; six nieces and nephews; and four grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Francis A. Weingartz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visiting is from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice
